It wasn’t enough to say that high school had not been the alcohol-fueled fantasy that so many movies make it out to seem. Well, there was alcohol, but that was mainly used on nights alone in your room to forget about all your worries and stresses of teenage-hood. You never thought that you would ever have to be transported back to the horrifying experience that school was, especially when you bonded with the Winchesters. Traveling as a band of hunters made a normal life seem impossible, so it was hard for you to accept that you were actually at a high school prom in a small town, basking in all of the frivolous gowns and cheesy decorations. Horny teenagers were wandering around the entire gym as teachers ignored their ravenous grinding and jumping. You kept rolling your eyes at the memories of your own prom that was so long ago. You had gone to your own prom alone because every boy that was in your school were crazy, sexual imbeciles that couldn’t keep it in their pants. It was best to go alone that to go with someone who wouldn’t respect you, right? So even though you felt a little insecure in such a hectic environment, you felt a strong sense of comfort knowing that a Winchester was with you.

“Here’s some punch. I’m not sure if it’s spiked or not, but I guess we’ll find out in a bit,” He waltzed to you, looking dazzling in his suit and tie. You had grown used to seeing him so finely combed whenever he and his brother dressed up as agents, but something seemed different. Every hair was slicked back in the right way, his suit was the perfect fit, and his eyes sparkled more brilliant than the sun bursting through clouds on a rainy day.

“If that ancient chaperon over there starts to look bangable, we’ll know for sure,” You laughed as he giggled along with you. You both stood in the very back of the gym, looking onto the crowd of teens as they jumped around to the beat. However, you didn’t notice that his eyes were falling back on you as the strums of a slow song began to play.

“You wanna dance before we have to hide out in the bathroom for everyone to leave? There are probably more romantic ways to ask that,” the charming man asked you as he held his hand out which you embraced without a second thought. He led you over to the floor in the midst of all close couples that acted as if they would die if they weren’t touching every moment. You wrapped your arms around his neck as his hands rested themselves on your hips warmly. There was a length of space between you two that felt like a mile and you couldn’t stand it.

“Don’t act like this is your first time dancing with a woman, Winchester,” You mocked as you pulled your body to his, letting them touch comfortably.  You rested your head on his chest as you swayed back and forth with the song, his heart beat acting like the drums. His feet would step on yours every now and then, but you blocked it out because he was too sweet to let that get in the way.  You eventually lifted your head off of his chest and stared into his eyes. “You know, this is actually nice. We get to just chill out in insanely uncomfortable clothing in front of a bunch of judgmental kids, but hey. It’s something, right?”

You both giggled in agreement as he sighed. “Yeah. At least I get to spend it with you. I couldn’t imagine being here with anyone else, not even my brother. Probably because I wouldn’t want to slow dance with him,” he laughed as he put his forehead against yours. “I couldn’t imagine doing this either.” He placed his lips upon yours, letting every ounce of emotion he felt for you escape through the touch.

“Well, that’s a good thing.” You giggled as you continued to fall in love with the night.
